Cold front brings snow to Mexico’s Popocatépetl volcano

The arrival of cold front number 32 has caused low temperatures in several parts of Mexico, even covering Popocatepetl volcano in white due to heavy snowfall in Puebla.

Through social networks, SKyAlert shared a series of photographs in which you can see the snow-covered Popocatepetl volcano, due to the heavy snowfall in Puebla that occurred on Monday, January 20.

“Beautiful postcards of the #Popocatépetl volcano after the heavy snow this afternoon, registering low temperatures. The snow potential will persist this evening.”

Meanwhile, the National Meteorological Service reported that Puebla has cold temperatures between minus five degrees and zero degrees Celsius. Likewise, there are intervals of showers with heavy rains in the entity.

The National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), reported that on Monday the Mexican Popocatépetl Volcano issued 32 exhalations and 874 minutes of tremor.
